What are heat pumps?

heat pump is a machine or device that moves heat from one location (the 'source') to another location (the 'sink' or 'heat sink') using mechanical work.  Most heat pump technology moves heat from a low temperature heat source to a higher temperature heat sink.  Common examples are food refrigerators and freezers, air conditioners, and reversible-cycle heat pumps for providing thermal comfort.
They are powered by electricity and generally speaking produce much more energy than they consume.

Radiant Heating Solutions supply two types of heat pump.
Ground Source where energy is extracted from the ground.
Air Source where energy is extracted from the outside air.
We have our own wide range of units made exclusively for us by Dismy Environmental Ltd.  These machines are currently going through the MCS accreditation process.
Radiant also design and supply systems using Daikin, Worcester Bosch & Kensa heat pumps.  All of these units are certified products under MCS.
